HINDI: Diwali Movies

The diwali season is turning out to be the festival of darkness at the bollywood box-office also. One of the highly hyped film of the year Don is getting mixed response all over India. The film netted a 90% opening, but collections dropped heavily to about 60% after a week. The film is doing well in cities and will recover its costs soon. It is certainly not a blockbuster. The movie is good to watch as Farhan has amended the story to suite the modern audience. But srk is nowhere near AB in all dimensions especially in that 'paan banaras' song.

Meanwhile, the other big release of the season, Jaan-e-Mann had a very disappointing opening at about 45%. The film later picked up to close the week at about 55%. The film won't recover distributor' s share in some territories and the verdict is average. It will take quite a long time till the film recover its costs.

The 3rd biggie of the season, Umrao Jaan will be released in a few days.
