It was heavy competition out there in kollywood and the results are not embarassing. There's not a single big hit in the season. The collections were heavily divided by the large number of releases. As expected 'thala' Ajith scorse ahead of all with his varalaru aka godfather getting about 75% collections all through the week.
Simbu's vallavan is 2nd as the movie didn't live upto the hypes. The film lacks through story but is technically brilliant. 
Jeeva's E is getting average response and its collections are picking up due to good mouth-publicity.
Arya's vattaram is also average and no improvement is expected for the movie as the film is average as well.
The biggest disappointment was Sarath kumar's directorial debut plus his 100th film talaimagan. The film is a flop and better he never try his hand in direction ever.
Vijayakanth' s dharmapuri is nothing more than a movie-promotion of his party DMDK & will be watched by his party members which won't be larger than a few hundreds in number! just joking, but this is also a flop.
